Painted acoustic canvas

Artsorba Canvas™ is a unique acoustic panel which combines acoustic control with creativity. These panels are used in areas where there is a lot of echo in the room, the sound absorbing properties of these panels absorb the echo and create more suitable environments for communicating, listening and recording. These panels are designed to compliment any room from traditional styles to more modern, contemporary areas.

Design

Artsorba Canvas™ acoustic panels are finished in a textured fabric which comes in white as standard and can be painted to any colour to compliment its surroundings. The panels can be used to add to a room's characteristic impression in a variety of areas including dining rooms, lounges, bedrooms, music rooms, hotels, restaurants, sports clubs, classrooms, community centres and many more.

 


Materials

Artsorba canvas™ panels are applied to walls to provide acoustic treatment which is both decorative and durable. The panels are made from a high density rigid glass fibre board and finished with a durable glass fabric.

The panel comes with a white glass facing which can be seen in the picture above. It can then be painted with water based matt emulsion paint to any colour with any design to create a unique acoustic panel. The possibilities are endless and the photos on this page are just a few examples of what people have done on these canvases.

 

PaintingAcoustic paint

Painting Artsorba Canvas™ is very simple. The panels can be painted with a brush, roller or even by spray. Methods such as stencilling, rag rolling and sponging can also be used to create different effects. http://www.artsparx.com/Decfinhome.asp is a acoustic paintparticularly good website for those wishing to spend more time on these panels. It has advice on lots of different painting techniques. For acoustic purposes however the paint which is used must be water based matt emulsion.

All panels are 25mm thick. Artsorba Canvas™ is supplied in three standard sizes which allows for the panels to be mixed and matched to create various designs with different or the same sized panels.

Technical Information

Weight: The panels weigh approximately 3Kg/m²

Flammability: The acoustic glass fibre core and the acoustic glass facing are both tested to BS 476 Part 6 and 7, Class 1 and Class 0. Class 0 is the highest requirement of the building regulations.

Colour: White as standard

Painting: Matt emulsion paint must be used as other paints may have adverse affects on the acoustic of the panel. Only one coat of matt emulsion paint should be applied.

Artsorba Canvas™ absorbs 71% of the incident sound over the critical sound frequencies of 250, 500, 1000 and 2000 Hz.

Artsorba Canvas™ can be used to reduce echo and reverberation in many areas from family areas in the home to offices and lecture halls. They can also be combined with other acoustic products if desired.

Installation

The panels can be installed in a number of areas in the home including bedSound absorbers rooms, lounges, dining rooms or even hallways or offices.

The panels can also be installed into offices, conference rooms, classrooms and many other environments.

Ordering Artsorba Canvas is very easy:

Step 1 - Select the sizes and number of panels you require

Step 2 - Send us an email or a fax with your order requirements including the number of panels required, relevant sizes, carriage charges (which can be viewed on the Artsorba Canvas price list) and the number of mastic adhesive tubes which are required. Please also include full invoice and delivery address (including postcode) and contact details (including telephone number and fax if appropriate)

Step 3 - We will send you an order confirmation and as soon as we have received payment you will receive your order within 7 working days
