Diffusorba Sound Reflectors are used to distribute sound evenly and avoid areas where sound is either weak, too strong or cannot be heard clearly. Acoustic diffusion or sound reflection helps to provide greater sound coverage for speech and music and are often used to improve speech intelligibility and music clarity in music rooms, studios, lecture theatres, conference rooms, classrooms and auditoriums. Diffusorba Sound Reflectors effectively reduce interfering reflections in any one particular direction by helping to distribute the sound more evenly across the room.

There are two diffusers in the Diffusorba range, the Pyramid diffuser and the Barrel diffuser. The two designs can be used to create different wall and ceiling patterns and also in combination with other Soundsorba products for optimal performance.

Pyramid diffuser panels Pyramid Diffuser

Pyramid diffusers have an offset pyramid design and are used in rooms such as listening and performance areas, where the even distribution of sound is important. The pyramid diffuser can be installed in different directions to create unique wall and ceiling designs. Nominal dimensions of the Pyramid diffusers are 593 x 593 x 178mm.

Barrel diffuser panels

Barrel diffusers can be mounted to walls and ceilings either horizontally or vertically, or both to create different design options. This curved design offers effective diffuse reflections distributing sound more uniformly throughout the room. Nominal dimensions of the Barrel diffusers are
593 x 593 x 178mm.

Diffusorba Properties

Sound reflecting diffusersFinishes

Diffusorba Sound Reflectors come in a standard white primer coat and can be painted to any colour with waterbased emulsion paint, not just once, but as many times as is required throughout the panel's lifetime. In fact the more coats of emulsion the better the diffusion properties of the panel become. (Paint must be waterbased only as others may affect the surface finish.)

Manufacture and Delivery

Diffusorba Sound Reflectors are made from high density fire retardant EPS. This allows the Sound reflecting panelpanels to diffuse sound effectively whilst keeping the weight to a minimum, making them very easy to handle and install.

There is a minimum order quantity of two diffusers.

Delivery time on these panels is 3 to 5 working days.
